I was both surprised and delighted to receive the news that I’ve been nominated for Trainer of the Year 2025 at this year’s Developers Day event. This recognition got me reflecting on how much of my career has actually been centered around sharing knowledge and helping others grow.
Looking back, I realize that knowledge sharing has been a common thread throughout my professional journey. It started in the 90s when I ran a BBS (Bulletin Board System), followed by publishing CD-ROM collections for programmers. In 1996, I created Programmers Heaven, one of the early large-scale online communities for developers.
Later, I co-founded Edument, a consulting and training company where we focused on delivering high-quality education and guidance to organizations and individuals. Today, I continue this passion through training, consulting, and speaking engagements.
What began as curiosity and a genuine desire to share knowledge has evolved into a lifelong passion. There’s something incredibly rewarding about helping others unlock their potential and seeing them succeed in their endeavors.
The award ceremony will take place at the Developers Day gala, and I’m looking forward to celebrating with fellow trainers and developers who share the same passion for continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to whoever nominated me and to all the amazing people I’ve had the privilege to work with over the years. Your collaboration, feedback, and enthusiasm have made this journey incredibly rewarding.
