# Azure Presentations

> Talks for .NET developers on Azure authentication, my Cloud Debugger tool and the AZ-204 certification.

## Talks about Azure

I have created the following talks about Azure for .NET developers, based on my own Azure projects and the AZ-204 certification.

### Introducing the Azure Cloud Debugging Tool

As I prepared for the AZ-204 certification, I developed a tool designed to aid in learning and troubleshooting Azure projects. In this talk I will be sharing the inspiration behind its creation, the process of building it, and how it can become an invaluable resource in your Azure projects. You can access the project [here](https://github.com/tndata/CloudDebugger).

### The .NET Developer’s Guide to Azure TokenCredentials

**How Do You Get an Access Token in Azure?**

If you have developed .NET apps that connect to Azure, you probably used DefaultAzureCredential. It seems straightforward: just create one, and you’re done. But behind that single class is a surprising amount of complexity. It manages nearly 20 different TokenCredential types, each trying to get an access token in its own way.

This session will explain how authentication works in the Azure SDK for .NET. You will learn what the TokenCredential objects do, why the DefaultAzureCredential is so convenient, and when it might fail. I’ll also show you how to create a custom flow with ChainedTokenCredential for more control.

By the end of this talk, you’ll have a solid understanding of Azure authentication in .NET. You will learn how to troubleshoot your credential chain and peek behind the scenes with DefaultAzureCredential.

### Passing the AZ-204 Azure developer certification the hard way

In this talk, I share how I passed the AZ-204 (Azure Developer Associate) certification: my study process, the resources I used and what I learned along the way. I also show Cloud Debugger, the open-source tool I built while studying for the exam.
