# Service Communication: REST vs. GraphQL vs. gRPC

> Learn how REST, GraphQL and gRPC work, their strengths and weaknesses, and how to choose between them.

## Workshop facts

- **Duration:** 1 day or 2 half days
- **Level:** Intermediate
- **Language:** English, Swedish

With microservices and distributed systems, how your services talk to each other matters. This one-day workshop introduces the three main API communication styles in use today: REST, GraphQL and gRPC.

You learn how each one works, what it is good at and where it falls short, so you can choose the right style for your next project, whether you design new services or maintain existing ones. The workshop is platform-agnostic, with presentations, demonstrations, discussions and hands-on exercises.

### Who Is This Workshop For?
